Well, there hasn't been a "Nookular Option" radio show, podcast, or blog post for at least five weeks. I'd imagine that's enough time to kill any audience we might have had. But, for anyone who might still check in on us now and then (we love you, by the way), here's a short update:
Chris and I have been laying low due to very busy schedules. All very positive stuff, but there has not been a lot of time for unpaid extracurricular activities like producing Toledo's only liberal talk radio show. I'll let Chris fill in the details of his goings-on. Me, I've been a bit swamped with work and law school. To avoid extending my legal education into a fifth year (good grief), I'm taking a lot more credit hours than in previous semesters. Also, a bit of related good news, I also made UT's Law Review this year, which is very cool, but also a big time commitment.
To say the least, it broke my heart (I know Chris feels the same way) to shelve the show. Sad, but I've been listening to old archived "Nookular Option" podcasts while studying. I do miss doing the show, and I think we've produced at least some material that was not crap. Having settled into the semester a bit, I'm ready to try resuming some "Nookular Option" program-related activities, starting with the blog. I'll do my best to do one short post every other day, at least. Meanwhile, Chris and I have discussed the possibility of recruiting, to get more people involved with the blog, and eventually, radio show. There are a couple of promising prospects already...
Anyways, big thanks to anyone still dropping by to see how we're doing. We're determined to carry on in one form or another, so stay tuned.

Next on the to-do list...
Why the hell doesn't my "recent comments" list work anymore?
OK.
The HTML was no longer in the page element. I wonder why that happened?
Anyways, "recent comments" works again, although I don't like this version as much as what we had before...
Hey, I'm still a fan! Will my fanboyness garner me any free legal advice in the future?
Sorry to hear that you're on hiatus for awhile. I enjoyed the blog and program.
I've been watching to see when you guys would come to life again on your blog. Welcome back.
As Don said, it hurts not to be able to debunk righ-wing nuttery. But I've been helping my g-friend with her business venture. Her employees affectionately refer to me as "the second shift". As GW might say, "We're working hard to put food on the family." Or "It's uniquely American to work 3 jobs". But hopefully we'll be back soon enough.
Steve, Mark, Barb,
Thanks for the kind words. You all will have free tix to our show when "The Nookular Option" gets on HBO, which is, of course, only a matter of time.
We'll have a slot either before or after Bill Maher. I'm not picky.
Well, this explains the silence when I tuned to the show over the last weeks.
As the owner of a "brand", you must know that a minimum of work is required to keep that brand alive. With a bunch of Liberal elements in college, it can't be that hard to find replacements who can commit to the radio slot. Then again, college students usually turn to stone when exposed to the morning sun, so perhaps my expectations are too high.
I still think you got shafted on the slot. Just because another school owns the better part of the day for reaching an audience, doesn't mean that you can't assert your own timeslot within that part.
